Too many mods, Too quickly

So I just finished painting up my engine cover plastics and putting my CAI. I have my borla exhaust, blacked bowties, put in gauges, and soon I'll be painting rims and getting short shifter. I put this stuff in within a month or so, anyways..

My girlfriend and another friend told me I'm taking things a bit fast and that I should enjoy the car as it is, then slowly overtime make additions. They said I'm gonna go all out to quickly and get burnt out. I guess they mean I'm not enjoying the climb, just trying to get to the top. What do you guys think? Is it better to take it easy adding little things here and there, or go all out?

If I would have had the money to do everything at once then I would have. I see their point though, because I enjoy each time I buy a new mod and have it installed. I wonder if I would have done it all at once if it would have taken some of the fun out of it for me. Of course there always seems to be something new coming out you could buy.

It's your car so do with it how you see fit and enjoy!!

Girlfriend thinks the mods are going in too fast. Hmmm...... ( I don't know what Pitney-Bowes was advertising, seems like it was important to them)

I've seen people buy cars and have it flat bedded straight from the dealer to a shop for the car to be dissassembled, tubed, tubbed, bored, charged, lowered, body kits and repainted.

Buy a vette for 50-60K and not set foot into it until it come back after another 100k and not even look like a vette anymore.

imo do what you want. However, I do believe enjoy your car as it is for a while. It will make you appreciate each new addition to you car as you slowly add them in. I've been steadily doing 1-2 mods per month. Heck, it's the LONGEST months you'd ever go through, because you'll have so much time shopping for stuff you want to do next. But take it from me, it is smart to spread it out, eventually you'll get all the stuff you want anyway =p There is no loss.. but you get to save money while making the fun of you camaro last much longer as opposed to doing eveyrthing you could do... =D

I can see it both ways, if you take it slowly you get to watch the car evolve over time, and enjoy what each mod brings to the table.. if you do it all at once, then you get the total effect of the mods immediately... Myself i perfer taking it a little at a time, and enjoying each mod and evaluating how i like it before moving to the next one..heck I may decide after seeing something on it i would rather move in a different direction that I first thought, and going slowly gives you that option...In the end do it the way that pleases you.. you are modding your car for yourself not for someone else, right?

If I never browsed through these forums I'd probly not even know about most of these mods. I could name a dozen things I want to do to my car and that's just cosmetics! It's becoming a hobby/addiction!

The sooner you do the mods, the longer you will have to enjoy them! It's your car. Do what makes you happy.

My mods are only limited by my wallet.
