Activate knightlight with lock/unlock - is this do-able?

So I got my knightlight scanner installed and I'm a big fan. The control box has this extra wire that you can attach to another remote source or a 12v supply to activate the "fire once" thingy. I think it would be DOPE if I could tie that wire in somewhere so it will trigger the scanner to go off once when I lock or unlock the car - maybe tie it in to the wire that turns the lights on with lock/unlock.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a spot near the fusebox where I could make that happen?

Thanks!!

I'm guessing you want it to come on when you unlock/lock with your fob. I've been wanting to do this mod as well but holding off til other things are finished up. I called the company that makes the knightrider lights and it is completely do-able. Do know the exact details but there is a wire(s) that are connected to the lights and cued in with the locking mechanism of the car. All that you have to do is splice the knightrider light into that wire (using the extra port). Then bam fancy BA knightrider light with fob activation.

All that said. I have no clue as to the details of executing this mod. I just got a simple breakdown of the process. If you do get the details all squared away could you post a DIY? It'd be much appreciated.

There are a couple threads of people wanting to do this same thing but with under glow. You might want to send some pm's to those people and keep an eye on those threads. As far as I know, no one has figured out yet how to do this.
