Jannety Tune installed need racers advice.

Ok all; this is by far the best site to get info on for almost anything dealing with the 5th gen.
Here is my situation:
I am heading to "Pinks all out" in Denver Colorado in August and need some traction control advice.
I have all my performance parts in and installed including a tune from Jannetty Racing. I am running a L99 with the Auto trans
Question 1:
So when I do a burn out to heat the rear tires prior to my run (I will have a front line lock in place for this), do I disable all traction controls, and if I do, will this or could this do any damage to the tranny now that I am running the Jannetty Tune?

Question 2:
After my burn out, do I reactivate the traction controls to head down the 1/4 mile?? Or do I leave everything off and holder to the floor and hope for the best.
I am hoping that with the mods I have done that the Camaro will run faster than a 12.9 as that is the slowest they will alow to run that day.
Thanx again for any and all advice.
Camaro 5 rocks,
Oh and I will also have the CAMARO5.COM in big letters accross the back window for all to see

I shut off both the traction control and the stabilitrak before the burnout and leave them off through the run. It seems to work better that way. So to answer your question shut them both off and gd luck!

Yes turn everything off like Supercharged SS said. You don't need much of a burn out just scuff the tires to clean them off and stage.
I have a L99 with the same headers and cats as you except I also have a X-pipe and stock mufflers in the back. & I have a CAI intake. Jannetty did not do my tune but he did help me out with the tuning. Here lately all I have been running is 13.00 class races so I have not made any full out passes but with 100 deg temps and 80% humidity lifting rite before the MPH marker I will run 12.900 @ 107. So I have to be on the brakes fairly hard at the stripe to slow to 13.00. The Mile high will hurt you but you but I think you should still be able to run 12.90

On a .500 Pro tree I stage allot deeper to get on the tree and my 60 times are usually always 1.99 or 2.00. On a regular bracket tree I stage shallow and my 60's are 1.94 or .95

When you do your burnout and your 1/4 mile pass, only turn off traction control. Don't take this the wrong way, but if you have to ask about doing a burnout, chances are you are the type of driver that will need the stability assistance if the back end gets loose. Drop your tire pressure to the low 20s, pull around the waterbox and then back into it, then come forward a bit and do your burnout. Let off when the tires start to smoke. Don't track water onto the groove by just pulling through the waterbox unless you have skinnies and plan to do a John Force style burnout.

FWIW, my Z06 has a 345/35R18 Mickey Thompson on the back, and I leave active handling enabled.

No offence taken, At almost 40 years old, I am not sure I want to put the car through all that, as the warrenty card is all but gone due to the slight bolt on mods, just want to enjoy the car as much as I can.
This will the 1st of 4 passes I will be doing.
2 up here in Edmonton Alberta to get my times for the pinks all out, and 2 in Denver Colorado off the tree durring the pinks all out, I used to race oval track, but this 1'4 mile stuff is a whole new game.
Thanx for all the advice everyone, I will be putting it to good use in the near future

You didn't mention what type of tires you are running. There are NHRA tracks that will not allow street tired cars near the water box. Without the use of the water box it's a bit more difficult to "heat up" the tires. If you run in to this situation, you'll have to just "dust" em off with a dry burnout.
