Bent end links with new sway bars
I have heard the the stock end links are overmatched by aftermarket sway bars. I have also read that one aftermarket company bent theirs while testing their sway bars. My question is, has anyone had any issues with their stock end links after installing aftermarket sway bars during use on the road? I do not want to invest in these if it is more of just an issue for those who take their cars to the track.

I have about 4,000 miles on my Pfadt setup (front and rear sway bars as well as lowering springs) and no issues with the stock end links. This is with street corner carving and no track time.

I've seen quite a few end links fail after upgrading sway bars but its not really an issue until they do, and they may not ever fail if you don't track your car. I'd say keep the cash in your pocket and upgrade if it becomes necessary.

Pedders decided to do a much larger and stronger end link because we bent the OEs at track testing. This is why we sell them with our bars.
To bend our end links will require an serious offroad experience. With that, a bent end link will be the least of your concerns. mike dms |
