3 months old...and accident

My first ever accident.

Now I have whistling noises and a *thwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwap* coming from my engine bay when I accelerate.

Great. At least it wasn't my fault.

That sucks... If he rear-ended you, I'm wondering why you're getting noises from the engine. Looks like he knocked you pretty hard.

I'm not a very technical car guy. The first thing that popped into my head, was if the mufflers/exhaust got pushed forward, it may have made a crack somewhere in the header or exhaust pipe, and that could be causing the noise. That's just a stab in the dark though.

In my rear view mirror it looked like he didn't break at all, which would have put him somewhere around 25-35 mph. The hit sounded loud as hell. The back doesn't look all that bad, but i think that is because the hit was pretty even spread across the entire panel.

This happened today?

Damn.... I'm so sorry. Call our collision center, they do great work. Ask for Brandi LaPorta 888 916-4411. I know you're bummed as all get out right now, but if there is a bright side to it, you now have an excuse to mod it....

Wow.... that sux, sorry to see that happened to your Camaro.... lemme guess, ... being in maryland and there is a 99.8% chance that the person that hit you was tailgating (in maryland more like drafting at the Talladega 500) and wasnt paying attention in rush hour and looked up and saw brake lights that was too close and too late

I see it alot when I drive on either the 495 beltway or DC/MD 295 to maryland from northern va.

I got rear ended about 6 months ago and it sucks, mine wasn't as bad as yours but i feel your pain, it will get fixed and you will get over it but it really blows. Is it me or does this car seem to get rear ended all the time, a lot of the accidents i see here are people getting hit from behind, i can't stop looking in the mirror everytime i come to a stop anymore.
