1 7/8 or 2" headers with E-Force?
I'm taking my car to Cincy Speed in the morning for a week long of attitude adjustment. I am getting an E- Force supercharger, lifters, springs and am considering having him put LT headers on as well. What size is the best for my L-99 that already has a corsa cat back? Also what are the pro's and con's besides more hp and louder? They will be Stainless Works if that matters.

What other plans you got later down the line??
1 7/8" will more than likely be enough and you'll be happy with them. We still have a great big bunch of people running 1 3/4" DT LT's on Blown applications that are completely satisfied. -Ivan |

2" all the way, the EForce can use the extra flow.

if they are replacing lifters, you might as well put a cam, arp head studs, and maybe heads on it.
and if that's the case, I would opt for 2".... if you plan on staying around just the supercharger for awhile and not getting too far into it, i would go 1 7/8

The answer depends on what you are looking for out of the car. Generally forced induction applications will appreciate more flow, but the 1 7/8 will be fine for someone who is just looking for a nice street car. Are you planning to race the car? How much boost?, Other mod plans? etc.

Exactly as Apex Paul questions. Depends on your long term goals. I am changing to 2" headers but I am also shooting for 1300+hp and if you are just planning on a street ride, 17/8 will suit perfectly. You need a lot of HP to see any benefits of going 2" as you need to be pushing alot of air.

Thanks for all the opinions. Craig at Cincy Speed suggested 1 7/8. There is always the possibility of going with a cam, but I am not looking to do anything past that. 500-525RWHP is good for me. Next steps are gears and axles. If I do any dragging it will be on occasion only.
