How bad is it on the car to "get on it"?

Just curious on how much extra wear and tear it is to the engine and tranny to run hard (especially flooring it).

In any case, it sure is fun

No racing or even going over 80mph (well, maybe slightly over on an empty freeway...lol), just some spirited take offs and getting up to the 70mph limit pretty quickly on the entrance ramp

I have had it for about a year and don't think I have ever even laid down any rubber.

Come to think of it, maybe I am being to easy on her.....lol

Bought it to have fun driving again. I have laid a little rubber, done some very spirited driving on a road course, and seen the upper RPM's on many occasions. Changed the rear diff at 1500 miles. Changed the oil twice now, and rotated the tires at 6500 miles. I plan to continue with the drive it like I stole it plan. It is what keeps us young.
