i just ordered - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

hi im new here

so if im posting in the wrong area i apologize

i just oredered the new camaro 2day loaded as can be black with red stripes( going to get the stripes on after market due to them not having red)

we had one problem though i am getting the 21 inch black rims but they would not let us choose the h.i.d option why is that? is the h.i.d standard on there? or what? it only allowed me to order them if i got the rs package but i dont need 2 sets of rims you know? can someone please let me know why this happened or am i looking at something wrong?

The HID's only come with the RS package, so if you want them, you have to pay for RS option.

And congrats on the order by the way.

Welcome to the site!

Search the threads. There is one that asked what everyone ordered. There are also plenty about the options.

If you mean the headlights, they come with the RS package only. If you mean the HUD, not available yet.

He means HID...but his problem is that when he pays for the RS kit he gets the 20's, and then has to pay full prices extra for the 21's.

There should be some big price adjustment for going to the 21's when you already have 20's.

so i can purchase the h.i.ds at dealer and just have them install it,and will the regular lights come with halo lights or do i have to order the the rs package for that too?

Unless I am missing something, the HIDs and the halos come as one item and they are not dealer installable. They both come with and only with the RS package.

It comes with the regular lights unless you get the RS package. The RS package adds the HID with the halos.

i know the rs package comes with the halos and h.i.d but i can not get them with the 21 inch wheels i wont allow both which pisses me off cuz i really want the h.i.ds, unless i can order them from the parts dept and put them in

zebra when i ordered today we wanted the 21s but when i hit the h.i.ds it would let me said it was a conflict so what do you suggest i do?

You don't even want to think about what it would cost to buy the HID's, halos etc separate. Its cheaper to get them with the RS package.
Just buy the car with the RS package, buy your 21" rims from the dealer, get tires from your local source, then sell the 20" wheels/tires here on the board to somebody who wanted them but did'nt order them at the time. Lots of V6 owners will want to upgrade to 20's later.
Guys who buy the V6 cars off the dealer lot will want to upgrade to the 20's also. Doubtful that dealers will be stocking V6 cars with 20" rims.

Arn't the 21" rims a dealer installed option anyway? Get the dealer to credit you for your 20's.

but ,my thing is the 21 inch rims are going to cost what 4 and some change? something like that i cant imagine the halos being that much money?

if you want the cool toys, you gotta cough up the cash.

rs package is the only thing that gets you the hid and halos... if you want the 21"s then you gotta pay for them.

just sell the 20's, you'll make a good 1500 off of them. and in all honesty, 4k for 4 21" rims is a pretty good deal.
