8500 miles and....
So after 8500 miles on the odo...My car feels faster and shifting feels smoother. It used to feel kinda knotchy on 2nd and 3rd gear but for some reason its gone. I'm at 9000 miles now so I'm been contemplating this for awhile. I'm not sure if I'm imaging stuff but I just wanted to put it out there. But I also noticed that sometimes when turning the car off, the engine would make like a squeaky or short squealing noise. Not sure if that's normal as it doesn't happen all the time. Also the car is bone stock. Any thoughts?

Yea, the thinking over here is that a new car starts to free up nicely around the 10k mileage. I've noticed it on a few new cars I've bought, from different makers. Don't know what your squeak is when you turn off the engine is though.

Mine got considerably smoother and slightly faster after 3,000 miles, also got better mileage. This is common in new cars, the engine will perform better once its broken in.
