Pre-Sealant IPA wipe or go for it??
As the title states, i'm kind of wondering about the next step in polishing. First the facts;
1. The car was originally hand polished and waxed with mothers wax. This was done before I knew I was getting a PC DA polisher. (I'll never go back to hand after experiencing a DA polisher )2. The Car has now been polished with Blackfire SRC finishing polish and it looks very very good. This is where it's currently at. I plan on now finishing with the Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant. 1. Should I or do I need to wipe down the surface with a IPA mix prior to the sealant to remove any polish AND more importantly any residual Mothers wax in the areas that didn't get hit with the polish? I'm just afraid of re-scratching the surface even with a micro fiber towel. I'm also thinking I may "water spot" the surface during this process. 2. Or should I just go for it knowing that 98% of the surface has had the wax removed through the polishing process and that the BFWD sealant may bond OK in the very small areas that did not get hit with the DA polisher? In hind site, I probably should have wiped down the entire car with IPA prior to the polishing stage. Sorry for the long ramblings, but any recommendations will be appreciated.

I've always been a big believer in the IPA wipe. However they say that blackfire is somehow meant to work together, so I would skip it in your case. Todd or Roshan would be able to explain that better. They're more technicians than I am.
The reason why I like the ipa wipe is that it removes any oils or fillers left behind by the polish so that you can truly see if you've achieved perfection. You'd be surprised how often polishes can fill minor swirls. I always do it, but that's just me. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Hmm. Well IPA is just isopropyl alcohol. It's not a brand of anything. Just get some alcohol from Walmart or wherever, I usually dilute 1:1 with water in a spray bottle. Spritz a panel and wipe off with a microfiber.

Talked with Todd, and feels I can "go for it"
Worst case senerio, is the BFWD sealant will not adhere quite as well in the very few places the polish didn't remove the existing wax. Can't wait to get the sealant on now.

You can get 91% Rubbing alcohol for a dollar or two at walmart. Dilute it to 25% or 50% by adding water and you have some really cheap and effective IPA!
