Plasti Dip side vents

Has anyone tried using plasti dip on the rear side vents? I know there are vinyl inserts available, but I already have an extra can of plasti dip in my garage. Please post photos is anyone has tried this.

I'm sure it can be done. Just be sure to tape off the surrounding areas to avoid overspray and your good. But honestly for the amount of effort your going to spend I would just do vinyl.

And just so you know the area you are referring to is called the Gills by most

the tape job will determine if the plastidip job works or not...it's why I'd do vinyl....

I'm sure you'd be able to do it, you would just have to make sure to tape it up correctly so that it comes out looking the way you want it too. Honestly, I'd just go vinyl. It isn't expensive for the gill decals and it will probably look much better than plastidip

I did this. Just take your time with the tape and it works great. Also do all the coats with in 30sec and take off the tape so it doesn't dry.
