v clamp ????

so I am looking for a replacement v clamp that will go from my headers to my midpipe I have 3" exhaust, which makes the flanges obviously bigger so do I need just a 3" v band clamp or do I need something bigger not sure how these clamps are measured..

Typically If you buy a 3" v clamp that means it clamps down to 3" the actual open size is like 4 1/2"

You certainly should measure it closed to make sure you are getting the right clamp. Whatever size it is closed down is the size you want to order. Opened up it will be larger obviously.

with the clamp closed all the way it looks like its a hair over 3" not sure if they just call it 3 and go with it I am betting thats the case, I will prob company that made my exhaust and confirm with them what size clamp it is and if they have one but it from them

they probably do take accountability for the exhaust pipe.

You can always measure the pipe itself and go from there.

That's would be great and all except common sense would ask is the clamp based off the flange size it the pipe I know I have 3 inch exhaust and I know the flange is bigger
