So proud to be part of the Columbia River Camaro club
A BIG THANK YOU!
I'm so very proud to be part of the hot rod community. The Columbia River Camaro Club has such generous members. It is truly amazing how generous and thoughtful the club members are. We adopted three families this year, but two of them were really in need. So, in addition to our budget, a few of our members have gone above and beyond. I am truly grateful to all of you. We had a very successful toy run to the Randall Children's Hospital and were amazed of how many more toys this year than in the past. They had a choir, little treats and everyone was so cheerful. Our club had a lot of toys to donate which made us feel good. We had collected toys all year at the club meetings and were able to fill 10 CAMARO'S and 5 SUV's with toys. Good Job! One of our own member's grandson has a rare disease that doctors can't diagnose and needs Mayo clinic testing, which is very expensive. The club decided to help them out with costs and he was at the toy run to help put the presents under the tree. He has not stopped talking about how he was able to help other kids in need! What a little trooper and only hope the best for him! After the Christmas toy run we had our wrapping party. Thank you to the club and some of the guys (who actually wrapped this year). We snacked and then started wrapping presents for all of our families. There were a lot of presents. We had fun wrapping and telling stories and jokes and then it was time for us to deliver the presents. First family was a single mom with two kids (domestic abuse). She had absolutely nothing, so we brought a Christmas tree, ornaments and lights along with a rug. 1 member brought a couch, another member brought futon, single bed, TV & DVD player,an other member brought a chair, side table and lamp and some bedding to deliver. They had a place to sit, sleep and have a little normalcy. Other members bought all kinds of clothes for the kids and all kinds of paper products and toiletries and towels. She was very grateful for everything we brought along with the presents. Like I said we have a very generous club and I am so proud to be a part of it. Some of you have offered to bring other things to this family, but we will wait and see after next weekend how much more room she has. Second family was a mom, dad and two girls. Lost job and out of work. They were very grateful and happy when they saw us bringing in bags of Christmas presents along with some paper products. This family broke down and cried they were so happy. It did our hearts good to see how we can affect families and help them out especially this time of year. Again, I am so happy to be a part of this club and to know such wonderful friends. Thank you again and may God Bless you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Bryan Fakler, Columbia River Camaro Club

As a member of the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club, I have had the honor and privilege of participating in joint club activities with the Columbia River Camaro Club. They have always been gracious hosts, and terrific people to hang around with! All the members definitely deserve kudos for your very successful charitable efforts, as well as their own personal generosity.
As someone who has been involved in fundraising efforts, I never cease to be amazed by the generosity of the Camaro community. I am proud to be a part of a club that places a strong emphasis on community service, and I am also proud to be surrounded by so many other Camaro owners and clubs, that bring honor to this nameplate by giving so freely of their time and compassion. Bless you all. Merry Christmas CRCC, and a very prosperous and generous new year! Gary Gregory PNWCC
