I bought my 2013 1LT RS in June of 2013. In October 2013 my torque converter in the transmission went bad. They repaired the transmission and when I received my car back I started having all kinds of problems. The check engine light would start blinking and a wrench would come up on the dash. I took it back and forth to the dealership multiple times over 3 wks. It kept recording engine misfires. I kept trying to tell them it did't feel right when I drove it. They put over 100 miles on the car trying to replicate the problem but it would only happen to me. I escalated the problem to GM. After replacing a knock sensor, GM tech support had the dealership replace the ECM. That seemed to fix the problem. When I took it in for an oil change in April, the battery was already bad and had to be replaced. Now, just this last Sunday it happened again. I had a flashing engine light, wrench on screen. It recorded another engine misfire. GM tech support was contacted by the dealership, and the dealership was instructed to replace the ECM AGAIN!! My car was given back to me as if it is all better. No one seems to care why I have gone through 2 ECM's in 24000 miles. I escalated again but have heard from no one. I was supposed to hear from someone in 48 hours but its been 3 days and nothing. This was my dream car... I've wanted a Camaro for years and finally sank my money into what is now a car I don't trust. What am I supposed to do? Buy ECM's out of pocket every time it goes bad when the warranty runs out??
In 24000 miles I have gone through a torque converter, a battery, a knock sensor and 2 (YES TWO) ECM's. |
