Headers
Next month I'm putting on headers and I was given the opinion of another fellow C5 member. I was originally going with ARH 1 7/8 LT headers with 3" connection pipes. His opinion was to get the whole system including the off-road xpipe to connect to my factory exhaust. I never knew the difference in sound or performance that the x pipe would make. Any thoughts? His setup on his C5 is ARH no cats, xpipe all the way to his stock muffers but not connected. He has it controlled by a noweeds system and it sounds amazing. I've seen the ARH with xpipe setup on phastek for the SS but not for the ZL1. I'm wondering if it's any different ? I will provide the link. Thank you

If you decide to get NoWeeds Diverters I'd save money and not get the X-Pipe.

I have Kooks headers, off-road pipes and the corsa and I love it. No drone at all on the highway and as stated above, its insanely aggressive when you get on the throttle at around 2800+ rpm. Be sure to post a video if you go with the noweeds, I want those so bad.
Here is a dyno video that seriously doesnt do justice but should be about the same sound. I have a video from the rear but its really bad quality. |

Yea, I'm back in AFG until October but I'll be in Nashville when I'm back if you want to wait
I had headers and high flow cats with the stock cat back for the first 7 months or so and this set up is far superior in my opinion. It's quieter at cruising and a monster when you get on the fun pedal.

hmmmm I would not spend $895 for noweeds if you running catless arh with corsa 3" system.
I would spent that $895 for soemthing that will add more HP the sound will be there without it and I can't imagine picking up any real HP. then again to some people louder always = better. I actually prefer the sound of the corsa's to strait pipe though.

I was going with the noweeds to control the exhaust after getting rid of my NPP exhaust. My main focus right now was to get the headers and go from there
