Double Check Help and Advise Please

Ok, I have searched and read several threads which is why I need your help.

Awhile ago, I posted this thread

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34336

with painted bow ties and trim bezels. I want to change the color combo. Also, goofed up and missed the adhesive promoter, so I am getting a couple of chips in the paint. I am going to start over from scratch. I think I have it right this time, but I want you experts to chime in and make sure it is right or help point me in the right direction.

So here's what I think I need, please let me know if this will work. This is for the plastic chrome on the bow-tie, the gold in the bow tie, and the plastic chrome on the trim bezels.

1: Re-Sand and clean
2: Adhesive Promoter
3: Primer, question I have seen flexible and regular listed on thread, I am leaning towards the flexible, but I am concerned that this is just for bumpers or flexible plastic.
4: Paint
5: Clear coat, what thinking of getting the catalyzed clear coat from paintscratch. Based on the product description I am hoping this will be a stronger clear coat.

Will the paint and products from paintscratch be a whole better than getting the stuff from dupli-color? Will I have a stronger and more durable finish by doing it this way? I used Krylon paint, primer, and clear coat the last time.

Last thing, in the post I had a painted script Camaro placed on for vote. I love this look and really want to do it. I have two problems, the paint will still peel even though it's set for over a month and I couldn't trim the 3M tape clean enough. Any help for these problems?

I know it's a lot of questions but thank you in advance for the help.

Now if I can see some pics from Revolution for their SS emblems for the grill, I might save myself some steps.
