37th Annual Car Show June 14

The Woodbury Lions Club has announced that the date and location for their 37th Annual Car Show is June 14 at Hollow Park in Woodbury, CT.

As in the past, the Lions expect the daylong event to attract over three hundred of the best classic cars in the Northeast, and over a thousand spectators. Along with over twenty-five automobile classes, there will be judging for motorcycles, trucks, and military vehicles.

Cars can begin to enter for judging at 9 a.m., with the first three hundred entries receiving a free dashboard plaque. General admission begins at 10 a.m. Admission price is $15 per car, $5 per person, and children under ten, $1. Judging begins at Noon, with trophies presented at 3 p.m..

The event will contain all the fun and excitement for the whole family that has made past shows a success, with food and beverages, raffles, music and, this year, an expanded vendor area.

The Lions use the proceeds from the event, as well as from their Haunted Hayride, to award scholarships to graduating Nonnewaug high school seniors. This year, local students going on to college received twenty-thousand dollars in financial aid from the Lions.

What do they have for car classes? Modern Muscle? If not I can take a different car.

I'm only 20 minutes away.

yes.. they have classes for everything, from early 1900's to current 2015 production...

I looked at their Web site and didn't see a list that's why I asked. What time are you planning on going?
Said they start loading cars around 9.

Right on your car looked great!

Very hot could not wait to get rolling out of there. No shade on the field to cut the sun but it was a good show.
Was not pleased that the judges said that the judging sheets would be able to go the people in the class at the end of the show and after asking the judges after the show that the judging sheets where able to go to who was in our class and come to find out that the sheets were not able to be picked up at the end of the show.

Said it was information that they couldn't give out?
If they want people to come back and compete and see where they lacked in points then they need to make the sheets available to the people in the respective class.

Heading to the Camaro Nationals week after next where they send you your sheets for the show and see where you are at points wise.

Oh well it's a local show not a National what I am used to.

yeah, they don't give out the sheets, never have in all the years I've been going there... not sure why - don't want you to know how they judge?? or maybe they use the names/addresses themselves for snail-mail spamming hahahaha!

They even ask for your e mail on the judge sheet so you would think they would send a copy to you?
But anyways it was a great day yesterday and a nice mix of cars showing up.
