MSD Boost a pump from Whipple

Anyone know what the settings are on the MSD BAP PN 2351 that come pre programmed from Whipple? Example what PSI does it come on at, and what is the max volt is it set at. My two computers have windows 8, so I wasn't able to changing the programmable settings on the BAP, I'm working on borrowing a older laptop to change the settings if need be.

I think its 5psi were it starts to ramp up voltage.

Thanks Bo, I bought one from someone that had a whipple kit for my ZL1. I installed it, works properly (as turn on etc). I planned changing the settings once installed, and now realized my computer with windows 8 wont work.

But if it's set for 5psi then starts the voltage rise I think I will be good with it.

When you get an older OS and can view and program the BAP, this is what you will see. I would not use the BAP until the voltage settings can be verified. They can be cranked up to like 22 volts and could hurt the pump and/or FPCM. I set my voltage increase to start just prior to zero vacuum (about 14.5 psi). I ramp the voltage up to 16 volts during the first 2 psi of boost and keep it at 16 volts right on through max boost. I use one of my lap tops that has windows XP and can view the voltage and boost changes in real time using the MSD view software program.

Okay so during my brain storming I remember I had a old desk top computer. So I pulled it out and hooked it up.

How do these settings look? I don't wanna change anything if I don't have to.

Anyone any thoughts.

That will work fine. The ramp up is just a little slower than how I did mine but the end results are similar. You will be supplying 13.5 volts and start ramping up at 13 psia (slight vacuum) and reach 14.5 volts by about 2.6 psi of boost (17.4psia) then continue ramping up to 16 volts by 7psi of boost (21.7psia). I converted your kpa to psi because most guys don't associate boost numbers with kpa.

Yup right out the box from a Whipple kit, so I'm NOT totally sure if they all come like this.
