HUD

Is anyone having any HUD issues? Mine for some reason dims in and out from time to time. When it dims it shuts down and I can sometimes bring it back up by turning it on and of repeatedly.Sometimes it just stays off. Freaking annoying, now usually Chevrolet wants you to bring in the car when it happens but what if I'm a cross town ? Super road trip. Yea right. Anyways I have a video from today that I'll try to post. having technical difficulties uploading..

I've had similar issues on mine. I've had it happen 2 or 3 times in the 27 months I've had the car. I don't have a clue what it is. It comes back on just as quickly and mysteriously as it goes out anywhere betweeen 10 and 45 minutes later.....weird.

With my luck, it'll "hard break" just after the warranty runs out

Mine just broke as well. If the sun hits the windshield just right, you can see that it is still working but it is very dim.

Mine JUST did this today. Keeps fading on and off. WTF????? Of course when I tried to get a video...didn't do it. It'll come on...go off...come back on...fade off. Over and over and over.
Bright side for me....bought my car Aug '13...only has 32,000 miles....so STILL under manufacturer warranty. Yea will be bringing it to dealership ASAP

I've had this happen every once in a while since new. I just now have 21,000 miles. The first time I brought it in, they obviously couldn't reproduce it. I then brought it in two more times with video proof and they tried to stonewall, in my opinion. This final time, they went ahead and ordered me a replacement. Waiting for it to arrive and they will install under warranty. Without video proof, there was 0% chance they would do anything for me. I now have at least a dozen videos from the previous 12 months at various times. The proof is overwhelming and I keep calling the service guy letting him know I have more videos. He's forced to deal with it now. I'm tired of taking new videos too, it's not exactly safe. Best of luck! I can only imagine how many new creaks and rattles I'll have after they rip the entire dash out to reach the HUD unit. It's a very very cumbersome install.

I was wondering that myself. But the way mine was acting....didn't completely go out....was on...then would fade out....then be completely out.

Chevy replaced the HUD....my 2013 still under warranty
