LSA Conversion Question

Hello all I am currently looking to upgrade to a LSA conversion from ADM. I'm looking at the stage one kit and wanted to know besides the intake, ZL1 pump/BAP, and the crank pinning kit am I missing anything else for the install? Additionally, I am looking to make 550rwhp. I currently have headers installed and wanted to know if the stock pulley would be enough to get me there and also how much of a PITA is it to replace if the time comes. Thanks guys.

Well I just did the kit. It does come with the jig to pin the crank. You will need to get a ZL1 compatible intake and some NGK TR7 sparkplugs. I do know on my setup with the stock pulley with running a full exhaust and stock engine I get 4 psi. With that I have plenty of fuel for that. Changing the pulley requires pulling the snout from the supercharger which is a pain.

I would imagine and that is just me guessing right now since I have not had time to get on a dyno yet I am somewhere between 500 to 550 whp to the wheels.

Andy did my conversion. I have a L99, so not quite the same base HP as you. He dyno'd me at 501 with the SC, intake, headers and a tune. YMMV.

My LS3 is on the dyno now after installing the ADM kit. It is right at 500 hp at the wheels. It might be a little higher when it's done, but probably not too much.

Yeah I am guessing close to the 500 to 520 whp at the wheels with that stock pulley seems more likely with the manual.

No, you'll want to pulley down, but that would also mean injectors too. If you did a cam, you'd get much closer. Talk to Andy @ ADM -- he can give you an idea of what you'd need to do to meet your goals.

I did Heads, Cam, Headers, CAI -- and I'm just over 590 RWHP on Stock Pulleys making 6 PSI boost.

Get a S/C with a hub already on it so you can easily swap pulleys when you want.

Is the pulley/injectors going to effect reliability with high mileage driving? I currently drive ~18K a year.

Now, there are many that have done it. The tune is very important to the reliability...

With the LSA conversion, you will not need a BAP with the ZL1 Pump. I have the E-Force S/C which is 2.3 liter S/C and the LSA is 1.9 liter. See my mods below. I'm at 546/rwhp.

Not at all. They only come into affect when at WOT when you need it.

You'll need a startup tune for sure. You don't want to start it with the stock tune.

Many tuners know how to do that for you (GPI, Jannetty, RDP, Southwest Speed, etc.)
