pcv/catch can setup for new turbo system
just bought an on3 turbo kit with lots of upgraded goodies...i used to have an eforce and i just had two regular elite engineering catch cans for each valve covers vent line. when i removed my supercharger i couldnt get the edelbrock valley plate off so i said screw it and left it. same for catch can setup now that im n/a. i noticed im leaking a little tiny bit of oil sometimes and wondering if its my rear main seal due to 11psi of hard driving. or maybe just due to the service bulletin they had on hte early camaros.... either way, i want to make sure i do it right with the single turbo this time. need to get the right parts together. any tips? do i need to put the stock valley plate on to get the extra port which isnt on the edelbrock plate? vented catch cans? oil seperator? vented oil fill cap? probly be runnin 10-15 psi for sure

I use a mighty mouse catch can and I do believe he said the vally plate was the least restrictive and best to use

Call Dave@mightmouse. I run a single one of his cans. Best setup I've had. Had elite, had RX, had others. MM is by far the best.

Mighty Mouse cans here also.... I don't use the valley plate port.... not needed.
Speak to Dave.......anything else a waste of time and money imo.

The key to proper evacuation for a turbo application requires 2 sources of evacuation vacuum as the intake manifold becomes pressurized when in boost. The MM can releases pressure to the atmosphere, illegal in all 50 States on the street, and is then messing with fuel trims as all the air is not metered. Call or email Steve from Elite Engineering and he can instruct you on the proper way to address this issue. You won't regret it. Also, Elite is a supporting vendor on this site, MM just coasts off all those that plug him for free (as the moderators allow this so what reason should any pay each month when others are allowed to advertise free?). Support those that support the site IMHO.

If you think being a sponsor, means a better product.... good luck to you.

He isn't even close to correct and is plain wrong on almost everything he said. Not worth even addressing someone that is so wrong.
Anyways, I've used the others, MM is the best. He gets plugged because the quality and performance of his product is top notch.

I guess we should clear this up really quickly. The MM has different options and none of them let un metered air into the engine. Turbo and centris require a more complicated catch can than a pd, and MM seems to have this pretty well figured out.
Elite makes an excellent catch can. I have one. I had an Apex before my supercharger and it was also top notch. I went to the elite because it was smaller and easier to mount not he driver's side. And to be honest I really like the anodized blue. I was going to try out the MM, but it is a large can, and like I said I only needed a simple setup. I did contact MM and he promptly answered my questions. Also, supporting vendors is always good, but to put someone down because they have a product that works is beyond asinine. He has a good reputation because he has a product that works and people like to do business with him. Anyways, I was not even going to respond, but I figured I would help to clear things up.
