emergency brake cable rub
I have a 2010 Camaro SS ,i lowered the car 1 in with hotchkiss lowering springs. I heard squeaking in the right rear a about 2 weeks later , i went to investigate and found my right rear emergency brake cable rubbing on the inside of my rim, I do have American racing 20 in wheels but it's only a 20x9 i was wondering, has anyone else experience this ? to get it off the rim i had to use two tiewraps and secured it to the the toe link on that side. Seems to be a temp fix, need to find out if i can readjust it or not.

This is a common issue when lowering or using shorter rims when drag racing, like a 17 inch rim. Most guys just tie them back with a zip tie. Not sure if anyone has a fix. Once it’s tied back it should be good.

Yep I tied it to the toe rod and it took care of it, wonder if my rear rims have the wrong off set.
