2015 Key Problem? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just took delivery of my 15’ ZL1 last week. The unlock and trunk button wasn’t working. Now my lock button won’t work. Also causing my remote start not to be available since I can’t lock x2. Now the unlock is the only button that works and it’s very intermittent. This is on the normal switch blade key.

Just curious if this was a common issue?

I ordered a new 5 button key online and supposed to be here early next week. I also have the normal key transponder just normal cut (non switchblade) key. So once I get new key. I’ve been told I can just code it to the car. Pics attached. Key is a little beat up. But not awful. I wouldn’t think the buttons wouldn’t work. I also replaced with brand new batteries twice. No fix.

wow,and i thought my key was beat,hope that new key fob fixes it.how about some pics of the ZL-1?

Yeah I hope so too! I read somewhere a low car battery or even low tire pressure could cause it? I also heard there was a recall on the switch blade keys. Lol Who knows. But the key look beat and even with a new battery still all 5 buttons didn’t work. So I figure I’ll get a new Fob and new battery and program it since I have (2) keys that are programmed.

Update: new fob works perfect, looks 10x better and programmed it myself in less than 2 mins!
