10 SS LS3 vs 2006 viper convertible...
Assuming the Viper is stock and I can run, say, a 12.6, trap 113. I still get it handed to me, right? I have seen times published for the coupe from 11.7 -12.2. I'm a decent driver, but that's a lot to overcome.
Buddy just picked one up, which is why I'm curious. If it matters, I have LTs, CAI, high flow cats, cat-back and a tune... Putting down 423/418. With the a viper rated like 506 stock I am figuring that V10 out torques me and we are making close to the same power, but me a lot chunkier. -_- Edit: worse from a roll on a closed course as well (speculation), yes? Am thinking of heading down to Pacific Raceways for the drags here soon.

Vipers are very hard to drive. The only one I have been in was the older 400 hp one. Even it was a blast but a 2000 Z28 would beat it very easy from a dig.
If you are a A6 with 423 rwhp I bet you will kill him from a dig. Unless he's a professional . From a roll he will walk ya. Remember Internet racing and real life racing are worlds apart. But you have to give it a go and get back to us on the results of this one! |

So... Sad. He just let me know it's his uncles. Freaking liar! Still wouldn't mind lining them up I have an M6, too. Would still love to line up a stock one.

There was a guy who use to show up at our track with a very nice Viper. But, he got his ass handed to him almost every time even by 4 cyl turbo imports because it just couldn't hook up. I've never driven one but from what I've seen I would agree it's a hard car to drive well.
