Last month's logic puzzle was pretty easy... This one is a bit more challenging..

Working with Hypotheses: - Logic Puzzle

Some men and women formed a Camaro Club that met for dinner once a month.
I. The Camaro Club members were three women – April, Carla and Ellen and three men – Basil, Derek and Felix.
At each dinner, the chairs in which they sat were arranged this way around a table:

At the seventh dinner:

1. Reading clockwise from the right end, the seating arrangement was Ellen, Derek, Basil, April, Felix and Carla.

2. One of the six was the cook and another of the six gave the cook the recipe for the dessert.

3. The cook and the recipe giver did not sit next to each other.

4. If the cook and the recipe giver sat directly across from each other, then the cook was a woman.

5. If the cook and the recipe giver were separated by one person, then the recipe giver was a man.

6. If the cook and the recipe giver were separated by two persons, then the recipe giver was a woman.

7. If you knew who the recipe giver was at this point, then you would not know who the cook was.

Who was the recipe giver?

Not 100% sure.

Is the recipe giver Derek. Leaving Carla or April as the cook.

Well if we right down all the possibilities for the what if's, then make a list of who the cooks could be if each person was the recipe giver, we can eliminate the recipe giver as being a woman based on the last clue. All of the women only have one person that would be the cook if they was the recipe giver and the last clue said if you knew who the recipe giver was then you wouldn't know who the cook is.

Here's the tricky part, all the men have possible cook's if they was the recipe giver so this puzzle has three possible answers.
