If done correctly Plasti-Dip can be a great option. It's all in the prep and application. You can get great results. I've have mine done for about 3 years. I did change colors a few times but the original dip is still on the wheels. I've just applied the new dip over the old. I haven't pealed any off. I originally did them in anthracite metallic with no glossifier. I then changed them to black with golssifier. I've gone back and forth with these two colors a few times. That's the best part if Plasti-Dip, you can inexpensively change the look anytime you feel like a change.
Here's before dip: Here's anthracite metallic: Here's black:

Since I've never Plasti Dipped a wheel before. How is cleaning all the brake dust off the rims? Does this make it easier or not? Seems like you would be ripping the plast-dip off on each cleaning..

Wash the wheels with the same soap you do with the car and there shouldn't be any issues with peeling.

Here's mine. 2013 SS stock 20" wheels plasti-dipped black. The process is pretty easy. Pull the wheels off the car. Cover the tires in a good tire cleaner/polish then spray. Took me about 3 cans and a couple of hours to do. Not bad.

Not a fan. Its porous and tends to hold brake dust. I used it correct flaws and mismatched color when went square....until I got new tires and painted the rims. I would paint or powder coat over plastidip any day of the week.

Its pretty common to do, just make sure you clean the wheel up nicely then apply it.

I did it to my truck's wheels and they still look as good as the day I painted them. I took this picture when rotating the tires last week after having the paint on there for about a year. I used the Rustoleum brand which I think sprays a little finer of a mist. If it holds up to my use on my truck, off road, snow, mud anything that I can put at it and it still washes clean you will have no worries for your Camaro...... that is unless you have a 4WD off road Camaro.
