No love for the V8's on Chevy's website?
Why is it that when you go to the main Chevy website located here: http://www.chevrolet.com/
And then click on the performance tab at the top there is no V8 Camaros listed as a option? I see the V6, Z/28 & ZL1 only... No love for the V8 under the performance tab? Am I missing something?

There are three things:
The Camaro, the Camaro ZL1 and the Camaro Z2/8. The SS is a Camaro option. The "SS" is a "package," and it is a very common package. When you select a "Camaro," you are given a base model, and the V6 is standard. When you upgrade to the "SS package," you get the V8. The ZL1 and Z2/8's are entirely different cars and produced in far, far fewer numbers. They are very different from just an engine upgrade package. The ZL1 and Z2/8's are also both V8's. Not sure what the problem is?

I think USA/Canada is the only place to get a V6.
I believe in Europe and around the world the Camaro is ONLY sold as a V8. I know this will add fire to the V8 verus V6 debate. |
