SUNNYSIDE, Yakima County — John Dalrymple of Sunnyside is mighty unhappy about his stolen classic 1970 1/2 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro piling into a school bus, but he's glad there are no serious injuries.

Six Outlook Elementary School students were treated at Sunnyside Community Hospital and released after the crash Thursday morning.

Authorities say 37 students were on the bus when the stolen car ran a stop sign at an intersection northwest of Sunnyside. Police and a friend of Dalrymple were in pursuit.

The driver, 37-year-old Gilbert Wood, tried to run away but was found hiding near a driveway and was taken to the Yakima County jail. The front end of the $35,000 Camaro was bashed in.

Dalrymple says he has had the car for 13 years.

Screw the car in that case, I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt.

I was born in sunnyside!! lol Glad no one was hurt though.... I remember when there was only 1 intersection in that crappy town.
