After Market Rims - Track Use
Hello,
In need of aftermarket rims for track use. I’m classified as a beginner at this point...so limited intense driving. Potentially 1-2 track days a year. I’ve been looking at the Arc-8 or SM-10. Same size as factory front/rear. It appears the Arc-8 is 1lb lighter but the SM-10 is known for durability. Would 1lb make a noticeable difference in the times? There’s only a $200 difference. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, are these direct fits? Do I need anything else to complete install? Thanks... |

Both of those wheels are flow-formed. I only use forged wheels on anything that will see serious loading, and since our cars are 4K pounds, they see more loading than most every other track car.

I have been looking at Finspeed wheels to replace my oem ZL1 wheels for track days. I like that they offer custom offsets and sizes for your car
