Exhaust Suggestions
I have a 2013 ss stock with the npp exhaust. I am looking to make it louder and sound better and was looking for suggestions on what I should do. I don't want to make it so loud it is obnoxious and I don't want it to sound bad. A couple things I have looked at are muffler delete, high flow cats, or catback system. I am looking to keep it around $1000, under would be better. I would like some suggestions and what you guys have done. Thanks

Headers with hi flow cats and then stock back to the NPP was the best sound mine had. Once I went with the Whipple, I got rid of the cats and it got too loud and I ended up with a couple of different configurations that still never sounded as good.

just like larry said, just add headers to the NPP system. If you do a cat delete it will get much louder. Plus once you add a cam it will get louder again.

I agree. With all the choices out there that are all overly priced in my opinion, if you do headers with the stock exhaust and high flow cats it really does sound good. I went with a complete TSP exhaust with headers, cats, x pipe, and there mufflers. Then I went and had the cats removed and out in a real x pipe and now it's way to loud for me anyways. But the complete system with a tune cost me around $2500 and that was with me installing it. That's the only thing is that if you go with long tubes you will then need a tune so just keep that in mind.

+1 for NPP exhaust with long tube headers. One of the best sounding exhausts out there.

Muffler mod on the NPP. That's what I did. Never looked back.

NOWEEDS, unless you don't have LT headers, then do that first. Then you can mod the NPP with a simple switch to manually hold the valves open, closed, or operate as stock with a simple push of the switch.
