Just got some hockey stripes on but bubbles ...

when the guy was finished, there were still a buncha little bubbles under the stripe. I asked him about all the bubbles and he said that they will just come out on their own. so i just wanna know if the guy was being truthful or if it's just bs.

They'll come out as the sun heats up the vinyl.

Not always. I have a little bubble in mine that has been there for over a year. VERY small, but there.

There shouldn't be any bubbles and they may or may not come out. Mine had zero bubbles when they put them on. Anyhow... how would they come out, its air trapped under the vinyl. The air has to go somewhere... They should have worked out all the bubbles when they installed the stripes.

I had about 5 bubbles in my stripes when they were installed and under both stripes they all are gone now since my car is parked in the driveway and is in the sun for a couple hours every morning. The air can diffuse through the vinyl when the vinyl heats up.

I've had vinyl stripes put on 3 cars by a professional installer and had a few bubbles I was concerned about. He said the same thing about them taking care of themselves. He told me to bring it back if they weren't gone in a few days. I had a couple that just would go completely down. He took the tip of an exacto knife and made a tiny pinhole in the bubble and pushed it down...when it was smoothed out you could not see the tiny hole. You could try a stickpin and barely push it in to release the air.

The stripes are like any other decal, the guy should have worked all of the air bubbles out when he applied the stripe. I equate this to being lazy and not taking the time it requires to put them on correctly. If you put a cover on the face of your phone and it had air bubbles you would take the time to work them out right? Why wouldn't he work out the air bubbles? LAZY!!
