What ball on Hurst STS?

Does anyone know what ball will come on the Hurst STS? white, black, leather, etc..... ???

4Life, that is an ongoing dicussion. There was a rumor that it came with the black shinny knob, but that you could have an option for the white one. No one has been able to confirm as of yet though.

I definitely read somewhere that the leather wrapped knob that comes stock will be used with them. you can buy a shiny black ball for 25 or 30 straight from hurst...i like leather personally

The link is an awesome 40-page document covering all standard equipment and options. However, it does not give any details regarding the Hurst Short Throw shifter option, other than the order code is VYV. It does not say whether a white or black plastic ball is available, or whether it comes with the standard leather-wrapped knob.

The Hurst short-throw shifter for the current Mustang comes in two varieties:

1) flat chrome blade handle with "HURST" engraved in it, with a white ball w/engraved shift pattern; or

2) round black handle that accepts the stock knob

I like the white ball. John Cox said leather, it's threaded so you can use whatever you like.

i bet it will come with the white ball that we have been seeing but im probably going to put the stock knob back on and keep the ball in good condition.

Every official GM thing I have seen said it keeps the stock shift knob and doesn't come with the white ball. I would assume that ball was on there at SEMA for visual effect only.
