Benefits of short shifters?
Ok well i know the deal as far as posting, in that you should look first before posting. I have looked and couldn't find the answer to my question, so here goes. I see that alot of people have "short shifters" what are they, and is that a mod that some one should consider? What are the benefits of these? So far i have only done cosmetic mods and am currently deciding on what headers and CAI to get so any info would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

In your Camaro5.com Garage you listed your engine as the L99 which means you have an automatic. The short throw shifters are for manual transmissions.
Short throw shifters shorten the distance that you have to move the shifter when changing gears: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_shifter
