ARH pulled 3 codes
I KNOW I KNOW, before you flame me I know it was going to pull a CEL! I just got my updated tune from Vince (which will also get rid of the CEL). He suggested that I find what codes I'm pulling before I clear it and here is what I've got..
P2099- Catalyst Fuel Trim system high limit bank 2 P0420- Catalyst efficiency low bank 1 P0430- Catalyst efficiency low bank 2 I did a search for these codes and the only one that came up was P2099, which I saw mrray13 suggested at first might be due to a leak but also the fuel trims running too rich. Before I load in the up to date tune that will clear the CEL I want to make sure I'm not clearing a real issue.

I got codes p0420 and p0430 after installing my BBK's. I installed 2 non foulers and those codes went away. After installing the non foulers I now have p2097 fuel trim bank1 rich. I think it from an exhaust leak where the non foulers mount to the sensors, so I'm going to drill them out so they will mount flush.

I think you'll be fine clearing those. After seeing your post, those, 0420,0430 are the codes I get if I revert back to stock tune.
With the shorty headers I got 2097 more then not, and got 2099 once, IIRC. Since going LT, I haven't seen either of those. |

Well I installed the tune and cleared the codes yesterday however I just got a CEL light again. Guess I'll get it checked out within the next day or two and see which one I'm pulling..
*EDIT* Ok Just got the CEL checked again, its code P0420-Catalyst efficiency low bank 1. I went to a local muffler shop and had them check the cats and stuff for leaks and they didn't find anything. So I have no idea what is going on.

Hey man make sure all the o2 sensors are super duper tight.....I mean crank the s*&T out of them! That is what I had to do to fix the original CEL I got on the lift. After that it went away.

Well I don't have a lift but I guess I'll go to the local muffler shop to have them look at it. Were you throwing the same code?

That's one of the things I have noticed, is that no matter what, if you do it yourself, a CEL is thrown. I didn't have a lift either, so I just took it to a local shop for install. They must have made everything airtight, because I haven't had any codes yet.

I had all three codes that you mentioned; and all went away after cranking down on them.

Well I didn't clear the codes again. Just the one time. I figured whatever triggered the P0420 didn't just randomly go away, but it could have! Maybe I'll go clear the codes again and see if that does anything. I just assumed that if whatever caused the CEL went away or was fixed, the CEL would clear too, could be wrong on this though.

Alright so here we are almost a week later. I cleared the 0420 code, it was fine for a few days, I just made a trip down from Waco to Houston (little over 200 miles) fine, and then after I did some driving around down here in Houston I got the lovely CEL again. Just got back from autozone. I was pulling three codes now. the 0420, 0430 and now 2099 which were all the codes I was pulling before Vince's tune! Ugh I don't know what the deal is.. I'm going to email Vince and see what's up.

did you put this on yourself or have a shop do it? you could have some loose header bolts that happens sometimes after a week or so of driving from heat up and cool down?
