Texas law is the lights have to be visible for 500 feet when the brakes are applied, all 4 shades of our tail light tint meet this requirement.

We offer a 30 day return period, so if you can't see or get bothered by the local Police peel them off and return them. We will refund everything except for shipping within the first 30 days. Since laws vary from state to state and everyone's night time vision is different this is the easiest way to make sure there won't be problems with tinting lights.

As others have said, what is 'best' is an individual choice. We have 3 shades of Smoked available from 50% Light Smoke to 20% Dark Stealth Smoke. What is 'best' really has to do with what your goals are.
What wont get you in trouble? Really hard to say as it depends on where and how you drive. As for legality, you would need to check with your local jurisdiction. Vehicle inspection criteria are usually a good starting point. We make no guarantees to any of our products' street legality, not even for the clear headlight protection kits. Most states have some sort of distance requirements. That said the darker you go the more they are going to stand out during the day. We have information on the various smoked levels on the site here As well as night headlight protection kit testing on the site here and night smoked taillight testing on the site here |
