Canada puts up 20%

The Prime Minister and the Ont. Premier announced support for The Auto Industry Sat. It includes provisions for low int. auto loans for consumers.
Total of 4.0 billion.

This means I already have money in my CAMARO and it has not been built yet.

No requirement to reduce auto workers wages.

Thats what need to be done here in the US, low intrest loans for purchasing or a tax break for buying new domestic auto's. That would help sales and we actual get something for our money.

Exactly, they should be offering 0-1.9% financing on the new Camaro, then GM will sell more. Our last two GMs were 0% for 60 months, if GM wants to move 100k 2010 Camaros, they should offer 0% to help IMO.

4 billion is pretty good for a Country with less population than the state of California.

Our commitment is proportional to the importance of the auto industry within Canada. Its ~1/5 the size of America's, so we are contributing ~1/5 the amount. Ontario has over 500 000 jobs in the auto industry with a population of about 13 million. In effect, the auto industry in Ontario is more important to us than it is to any state, including Michigan.

It didn't just pop up there.... There have been plants making GM products well before any in most USA cities except Detroit.
