Question Black or Beige?

Well, I have a black camaro with black leather interior on order, but I really like how the beige interior looks on those newly released pictures of the IBM. Do you all think the beige or black would look best in a black camaro? I am having a hard time deciding.

Frankly, I think you will be thrilled with either one! Since you have a lot of black, the beige might be nice to break it up a bit.

Ya I was thinking it might look good to break it up, plus less heat.

Black with beige is killer! I almost picked that color, but because I had grey stripes, I thought grey interior would look better. With no stripes, I'd be beige all day!

I believe from what others have posted that you have until it gets put in the production queue. So should be good til mid Feb. or even March depending on when you ordered...there really isn't a set date for it since each order will be queued up differently.

Really? I was under the impression there was a cut off date around the end of December or mid-January.

Yeah I was thinking like the end of Dec after the IDL, but still you have time. It does get hot in OK, so the beige might be more practical, but the black exterior will also have a profound impact on the cabin (not sure if that is the right word, makes me feel like a flight attendant or something lol) temperature. So to me having the black exterior would negate the purpose of choosing a heat-repellant interior color, and as stated above both would look killer.

Tan/Beige only looks good in black or dark green vehicles. So my vote is Tan/Beige.

In most other colors it's.... Yuck.

It looks amazing it metallic red colors as well. So in this case, Red Jewel Tintcoat. On any sports/muscle car, it is one of the most beautiful color combinations ever.

There are many threads that have covered this including
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10136

Here is an excerpt

"You can post the following..

I understand the concern with missing the opportunity to change orders, but rest assured it will be late January to early February before we start requesting orders for production, and even when we start the initial number of orders will be a small amount. For most orders, changes will be accepted well into February or March.

Thanks

According to the posts I've read, GM will pull the pre-orders from dealers (on Thursday from the sounds of it) so they have until the end of that day(??) to finalize that order before it goes in line for production. Once it's pulled and assigned a VIN it cannot be changed after that. Also when the orders are pulled they will be advised of any constraints that could cause delays with certain items that someone might want to order (sunroofs, wheel options, stuff like that) due to supply issues or whatever reason. If the dealer doesn't take any action I believe that the system will automatically pull orders based on the priority codes the dealer set on them. So say the dealer was allocated 40 and so the system accepts the first 5. I would assume it would pull the first 5 priority 1 orders that were entered. Or it would pull priority 1-5 if that's how the dealer assigned them. Someone feel free to add info or let me know if I got something wrong...

I switched from black leather to beige a few weeks ago (Black exterior). I have had so much black leather lately, and black cloth (16 years of camaros and now my wifes new car). Wanted to try something new, and different. I know someone who has a 2000 camaro black/beige and my boss has a chrysler 300 black/beige - they seem a little more on the 'upscale' side, and very nice looking. It's always the first thing I notice when I get in the car. They both have beige carpet and fully beige seats, but I like how the carpet is black in the pics. I don't think you can go wrong with a choice on a black exterior, just depends if you want a little more color contrast without having to go all the way to the orange seats.
