Best sounding exhaust? Borla, MBRP, Stainless Works
Hey guys i need ur help. I've been doing my reserch for quite a while now on some exhaust for my 2010 SS LS3. But i cant quite make up my mind! So many companies make exhaust for this vehicle. So i need ur help. I know it's all about sound preeferrence but like i said i cant make up my mind. This will be the first performance mod for my car. I want it to be loud but that sounds good and not raspy like some i've heard. So i need to choose between the "Borla Atak" , "MBRP" and "Stainless Works" and i will be getting the whole cat back system! Any suggestions on ppl that have these or that have heard these exhaust on?? Thanks!

you live in cali - there are modded camaros all over the place. go to the local section and hear some setups in person so you don't make a 1000$ dollar mistake. : )

You are going to get 100 different responses for brands and setups. Check youtube for video's and as above try to get to a local meet. For example some say the ATAK system is raspy or tin can sounding while others say it's music to their ears. Good luck.

So many people ask this question and there are 100 different answers. Vendors will try and sell you their systems, other camaro owners will swear up and down on their experiences, videos will sound bad ass, etc.
Your best bet is to go hear them for yourself and then decide what is loud enough, low enough, deep enough, or too loud for you. All those systems you mentioned are pretty good but like someone said before, experience them for yourself before you make a 1000 dollar mistake. with that being said, I personally heard the Borla and its pretty sweet. has a low throaty grumble to it and sounds muscley (if thats a word...). I chose the MBRP and it has a good sound to it. Low, deep, and also has a great muscle car tone to it. Plus it was cheaper for a 3" system than the borla. Good Luck!

You can also order a wife on the 'net, but that's not such a good idea, either. Go to a gathering and use YOUR OWN EARS to pick the right sound for YOU. You'll be happier in the end and have nobody to blame....but yourself! Good hunting!

from the view of the mechanic....
is it a 30 pc exhaust, or just a few sections... Borla seemed to be the fastest, easiest to install, lining up the best. |

Corsa doesn't sell an axleback.
The Borla ATAK axleback sounds great. The performance difference between a catback and an axleback is nil and you can get an axleback for $600...and no drone. |

LOL, like someone said, everyone thinks different sounds better, I have the Borla ATAK axle back on my ARH LT's. Absoultely hate it, although I will say it's pretty loud as far as 5th gens go. drone at hwy speeds is deafening (sp)

I don't have LT's, I don't have drone, and the ATAK axleback sounds great. This is rich, you have LT's and your blaming the axleback for drone

Rich, Andy here. I will say this, when I initially had all the work done on the car, including adding the LT's we left the factory mufflers on the car. There was no drone, however those factory "Boxes"/mufflers do such a fantastic job muffling you really couldn't hear the Cam unless you were at WOT, at idle it was very quiet. I wanted loud, hence the Borla (I have borla products on 2 other cars in my garage, no problems, love them) anyway, added the ATAK "the most aggressive sound in the borla catalog" or whatever the slogan is. WOT and Idle, it sounds great, at 2k riding down the highway, the drone is awful, IMO. others may not mind it. long story short LT's/factory mufflers no drone. add ATAK, drone. pretty sure it's not the LT's.
