Final Choice

2 and 1/2 months after my deposit and 1st choice of Black, I finally went to dealer and Changed to Cyber Gray/Black with Black racing stripes. I kept having nightmares about my past Black cars and how dirty they get and how it shows EVERYTHING. It will be my summer car, but still I don't want every little mark showing. Also I love the cyber Gray on the vette and it will look hot on the camaro.
BTW, The dealership I used has very little info on anything, and still does not have Paint cards. He is still using the paperwork I gave him back in october when people ask questions about it. He did say they were only alotted 9, (i'm #8) but they took orders for 14 incase some slip through. What ever that means. It is a very reputable dealership and has been around forever. Also got for MSRP.

I did the opposite of you. I was wanting CGM/black stripes the whole time but when it came down to ordering I ended up going with black/CGM stripes instead. But now I'm thinking about CGM again w/ the black stripes, lol. I hope we see the car in CGM before it's too late to change our orders cause that's what I'll probably need to actually make up my mind 100%.

I just looks so hot on the vet, I've seen that in person under different light. It has to look good on the camaro. Every other color does so far. I have yet to see a color I didn't like, but there are only 2 I want. And the CGM is the right choice for me.

Congrats...much like you and everyone else it's been tough to decide on the color!! I am about 80% sure I'm sticking with SIM but if I see the CGM on a real Camaro...things could change!

black really isnt as bad as everyone is making it out to be. unless you plan on keeping it outside and never clean it. then i will say it probably will look like crap in a year. i take good care of my cars and thats all you need to do to keep any car looking good.

You are right, black is not THAT bad to keep clean, but it is the hardest color to not only keep clean, but shows every scratch. Remember, you can take care of your car and it can still get scratched. Nothing anyone can do about road rocks and debris. Also the day after it is washed it looks dirty. I keep my cars clean also, but I want to spend the time off I have driving it. Not cleaning it every waking minute. Just my opinion.

the other very important thing to remember with cyber gray is it doesnt always look like the pictures of the corvette under bright lights. If we continue not to see cyber gray i highly encourage everyone that hasnt to go see it in person on a traverse. The cyber gray on the vette in pictures and the cyber gray on the traverse in person appear to be DRAMATICALLY different colors.

I currently have CGM as my currently choice but am leaning heavily to changing to black even if it is more difficult to keep clean

I also think that the CGM I've seen on the 2009 Z06 and standard vette's doesn't look as good as the CGM on the ZR-1. That's why we'll just have to wait for it to finally show up on a Camaro.

P.S. All I have to do when I'm thinking of changing my order from black to CGM is watch this video
of the black RS at the texas state fair

Rally Yellow. CGM was the first instinct but after not getting to see it , I do not want to dislike my choice
