Blow outs

So, has anyone here had complete blowout on there SS yet. Im wondering how often this happens since it never comes up and people are still concerned about the spare tire situation

Blow-outs rarely occur period, especially with Z-rated performance tires. Higher performance tires typically have higher manufacturing quality standards. Most blow-outs are a result of poor tire maintenance or replacement habits. Old (more than 7 years), dry-rotted, or bald tires are typically the ones that blow and leave people stranded on the roadside.

The other thing to consider is tire damage. When hitting a pothole or something similar the sidewall will pinch together really hard. This can cause a small cut on the inner liner of the tire. How do you know that this has happened? Usually a bubble will appear. I recommend inspecting for your tires after a hard impact. If you see a bubble has formed this is not repairable and will lead to a blowout ( sometimes up to months after it happened).

Aaaaaaah. I didn't realize you had a motive to your post. Blow outs happen , but its not that frequent. Ask yourself when the last time you had one is?

By the way you would be suprised how many people don't check their tires.
