Ok, I've had it with my mediocre suspension, point me to a good shop in VA!

I travel for a living. Sometimes for weeks at a time. This affords me an interesting opportunity to re-evaluate my driving impression of my car on a regular basis. So every time I come home and drive my car, my impressions are consistent...

-steering feels too light, and unsettled while lightly accelerating over 50mph or at high speeds
-there seems to be a tendency for the front end to follow grooves and bumps if they're on one side.
-body roll
-rear wags side to side pretty hard under hard acceleration

That being said, I feel that Pedders offers a great product, comprehensive product line at a price I can live with.

Where's a good one stop shop in Va area to have an install performed with a good professional alignment?

Thanks,
JD

One of the many services I offer is to assist a shop of your choice in the installation and setup processes. If you have a very reliable shop, I will work with them to assist them. So lets decide what you want 100%, find you a shop, and when you have all the parts, give them to your shop, and we will chat on all that needs to be discussed. I do this daily.

Hope this will help

Absolutely. I ordered a set of lowering springs and I cannot believe the cost to install on these cars... I can do a full set of coilovers on my evo's in under and hour... it's 2.5 hours just for the fronts... I think now I'm going to get a set of Xa's and just have then done up like my race evo's with full balancing etc.

imo I would go with the Xa's,they will give you alot more adjustment for height as well as ride and you can also corner balance the car if you would like .The camaro set up is very similar to the evo's we have done.

You should be able to get all 4 coils installed for 3.5 hours plus alignment.
This is pretty standard

thanks

dms, Thanks for the reply. I'd be willing to drive a long way to get the work done by pros. There's alot of shade tree type guys in my area that scare the hell out of me when I think about them going elbow deep in my car!

I have looked through the pedders website and I seem to remember a while ago the packages were a bit more "plentiful". It seems you guys have simplified things a bit.

With the available packages, Im looking at going with the Xa street package, but I also want the swaybar A package and the rack and pinion bushings. I really like the price of the lowering spring street package.... but I have owned cars in the past that I lowered with springs without changing the shocks and the ride quality suffered. I really like the adjustability of the coilovers... even though the package is 900 bucks more... ya really get what ya pay for in that route!

I also forgot to mention that I do not intend to ever track this car. It's a daily driver. I want the most performance for my buck, as well as good ride quality and to firm things up.

The biggest improvement that im hoping for, besides obviously the body roll and understeer is the vague steering I feel when accelerating or cruising at 75-ish. I havent had my factory alignment looked at, this may be contributing. But it's something that I have noticed since day 1 and that I would like to see gone! What do you think about my choices DMS?

and you're right I was looking at the B package on the sway bars, for some reason I was thinking A package when I was typing!
