Painting over chrome, not good. I have sanded chrome plastic parts, self etch primered, painted, and clear coated them. End result is the same everytime.....the paint doesn't stick well and will flake or peel off the first time you wash the car with above normal water pressure.

i thought i have seen emblems on ebay in different colors, but they were plastic.

i thought about getting some black emblems for my car,

plastic if fine with me,they are rather inexpensive too.

Just go to google shopping and search for 2010 Camaro RS and you should come across some vinyl letter covers that you can get in any color. They will only cover the top portion of the letters though.

It's not always the case, I just haven't had any luck in the past painting over chrome unless it's on a part that won't be exposed to bugs like on a front emblem and stuff like that. They should have those letters in assorted colors though, or if not they will soon.

emblempros.com It's not speciality stuff really, it's what they normally carry.
