I have heards some good things about the oil, and think I will put in in my ride. Any thoughts?

I'm in the oil industry, so anything I say is tainted... so no help or hinderance here... let me know how it goes for you...

Ok, went and looked, so I do have a comment... It is a quaker state based oil, and I stay away from Pennsylvania Crudes for my automotive usage. I used to use it exclusively, Pennzoil, and I got away from it when some friends in the automotive industry proved to me that it typically ran 10 -15 psi less oil pressure at the same viscosity rating... Not sure why, but they proved it...

Other than what I edited in, there isn't really anything to add, it's just that if I support it, then there must be something wrong in the oil drilling industry and if I say anything wrong about it, then I'm just supporting my own pocket, so it's a no win situation.

My only comment therefore is I absolutely stay away from Pennsylvania Crudes for "my" automotive use.

Brad Penn oil is made at the old Kendall oil refinery in Pa., which in their day was the finest oil you could buy. What I don't know, although they do insisit, is that they make it with the crude and refinery methods as Kendall used to.
I lived on Kendall oil all my life, until now that the Kendall brand was bought by Conoco, and is now no better than any standard Texas crude.

BTW, Pennzoil has not been Pa. crude for decades and even when it was, they were not the highest quality producer.

Weve run it in or 8 second car for the last couple years based on the recommendation of the engine builder. Never had any issues with it. Thats also what our local hard core speed shop carries.

Would it be better than synthetic? Is there any adverse effects to the engine if I was to switch from synthetic to this brand? Does anyone know if it is recommended grade by gm?
