Removing rear bowtie and blacking out panel?

How is the rear bowtie held on? And who makes a strip of black vinyl to install there once it's removed?

I've read on here a couple vinyl makers make the black out strips that have a cut out so you dont have to remove the rear bowtie. But if you still want to remove it, take a heat gun to it then remove it with dental floss by "sawing it off" as it were. Then get the remainder adhesive with 3M adhesive remover. Theres a couple of threads on here that tell you how to do it in more detail.

Thanks guys. I'm not newbie to forums and usually search first. When I searched "Rear bowtie" it didn't come back with much.

Awesome, thanks guys.

I was wanting to black it out and install the SLP "SS" emblem but I don't see it sticking to the vinyl very well.
