help for exhaust system install??

Im planning on installing the cat-back system and also the BBK or ARH LT later on. Question 1: Does it matter which one is first if its LT first then the exhaust system or vice versa? Question 2: Do I gain HP with the cat-back system if any how much? and Question 3: I was told by a local shop that I needed a dyno if I install the LT but a friend said not necessarily. Who is right? Thanks and hope you all can help me I had my car for a year now been planning what exhaust to put but I dont have that much money to spend aside from my car payment LOL . Well anyways I want to make the right choice when I do install the LT and exhaust.

With LT headers, you will need hi flow cats and a tune. Im not sure how much HP you will get but some members may advice you.

With the Magna flow Cat back, you will get a good boost. Both Borla and MF have dyno sheets on their websites. You should expect 11-15 hp more.

I have the Magna flow and it makes a difference in performance and sound.

Go for a decent CAI, and save yourself a headache from CEL problems caused by LTs.

Good choice with the Magnaflow catback! If you do end up adding LTs to that catback, it is going to sound killer!! My opinion, but I kind've doubt you'd get 11-15 HP on top with just the catback (I'm thinking maybe more like 5 - 10 at most on top) but you'd have better gains further down the RPM range like at 5,200 RPM and around there.

Long tubes have typically dynoed to show an improvement of 15 HP or more on top. 20 max if your lucky but probably not quite that high....again, the gains down low and midrange will be nice as well. A tune may not be required for your car to run well, but theres a very high chance you will get a CEL, and a tune will elimnate that, as well as optimize your air/fuel ratio so your car may run just a tad better, but probably not noticeable. So all in all, tune not NEEDED, but recommended.

Throw on a decent CAI on top of the above and you'd be looking at a total PEAK HP gain between 20 to 30 HP. 2-3 grand for all of the above depending on what you buy and if you install it or not, so its not cheap, but a 330 - 340 HP V6er is pretty damn sweet too! lol

Not alot of dynos on catbacks but as KMPRENGER says 5-10 range. Corsa had a dyno and did 5 and one member here had D/T shortie headers and catback combo for 12 about half/half. But what you notice is the sound and off idle response and low to midrange torque which for the street is what you want, top end is icing on the cake.

you wont need to dyno the car at all for exhaust. catback and LT's will make the car very very loud. easy to install both. LT's will give you a CEL due to the oxygen sensors getting a different reading. only a tune will fix this.
