Exclamation Winter concerns

It's been a awful two weeks for most of us here in the midwest and plains area. I happen to live where there has been non stop snow, ice, and very cold weather. I have not driven or started my Camaro in a week because I don't want to expose it to the ugly streets that reek of sand, salt, dirty snow, and dirty water.. I decided to start my car up a couple days ago just to let her breathe a little (she has been outside the entire time because the garage is filled with crap). The only problem was the breaks were a little squeaky. Is that normal and if so, does it iron itself out since I have not driven it in awhile? Last concern was I started it up today and she was shaking a lot and a warning indicator came on.. I turned off my Camaro and then turned it back on and there was no more shaking or indicator. Am I okay or should I be concerned?

The brake rotors will rust a bit in a weeks time of no use. It will burn off quickly when you drive it, nothing to worry about. The warning light; if it stays off I wouldn't worry.

I know what you mean. This weather is for the Eskimos. I painted my factory splash guards to match and built some add on front protection.

as mentioned above by Camaro custom painted - brakes tend to get a little rusty or squeak / grind from sitting. all it takes is a short 5 min drive with using of the brakes to smooth that one over. for the shaking, this would most likely be due to the fact it has sat for a bit. i have had cars in the past do the same thing if i had left them without starting during cold winter days. if it persists, contact your dealer. you should however get in the habit of letting it run daily almost for a few mins if possible.
