HARD TO SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR MANUAL TRANS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have seen a lot of threads about the manual trans but I was wondering if anyone is experiencing hard shifting into 2nd gear when the trans is cold. Once the transmission warms up it shifts smoothly. I do have the skip shift eliminator installed and a Hurst short throw shifter. I dont know if I should bring it in to the dealer. I really dont want the dealer tearing down the trans unless I have no choice.

It's pretty common....V6 cars are also doing it. Double-clutching and/or going up into third then back to first usually helps. After 20 minutes or so no issue.
