corvette guys use gel batteries, like OPTIMA. You can mount them upside down and they don't leak and they are sealed. You never add any fluids. I have a yellow top ready to go in my corvette z06.

Whatever battery you can find with the longest free replacement warranty. Acdelco has different warranty levels and their batteries are much better than they used to be. The more you use your car the longer the battery will last.

I plan to use an Optima when the time comes. My daily driver,a Riviera, had a huge battery located under the rear seat which I replaced with a standard Optima. No issues with the battery so far.

How is it possible your 2010 vehicle needs a new battery already?
For racing applications or high vibration applications the Optima is a great battery. For regular street use I use Duralast Batteries (yellow top longer warranty ones) from AutoZone. If you are storing your car for long periods, I'd pull the battery cables and put on a battery tender by Deltran. |

The thing with optima is they dont like to sit a long time. They WILL go bad if they sit for a long time without a tender. If its going to sit more than a week put a tender on it or you will need a new battery after a few times of letting it go dead.
