The 5th gen owners, real or posser?

I notice something lately, with people jumping ship ect. How many of us are real camaro guys here! The only thing I have to complain about with the 5th gen is... how many posers that wanted the car because it was the new great thing to have...go out a pose and be flashy Were are all my real die hard chevy guys at! Here is the post to speak up, are you a die hard camaro guy, or just one of those other guys? If you were lucky enough to have this as your first car, welcome kids you will be a camaro guy for life! To the others... that family sedan is waiting Time to switch up or get that new stang

I'm more of a Chevy/American muscle guy than a strict Camaro guy. I haven't been on this forum but for a week or so looking around, but I noticed that the first pages or so seemed to have more topics about leaving than past pages.

I'm not the type of person that stays loyal to one brand and hates on others, but... Edit: I guess it's sort of hard to be upset at people that trade in cars. My daily driver cars get changed about every year or two, but my 'fun cars' stay for years and years. It's just more fun when people come into a community with the intention of staying.

Randomly, what color is your C5 'Vette? I had a 2000 back a couple years ago before I got t-boned by a moron in a tuner. Needless to say, I don't have the 'Vette anymore :(
Mine was Pewter with the targa top. I never got a chance to really mod it though, was mostly just a few cosmetics here and there.

It's just the way it is. Some people don't have a strong affinity for any particular brand which is okay. However, I know what you mean, and I am one of the die hard Camaro guys. I will never trade mine as this is the car I've always wanted. This is my 4th Camaro in all. It hurts to see people just toss their car aside after a short while, but it is what it is. I'm keeping my baby.

I'm one of the older guys my very first new car was a 2nd gen....a 1976 RS.....my Mom even had a 3rd gen.....I had my RS till '89'...when I was forced to join the Minivan ranks, since two kids would fit in the back of my camaro. Now that the kids are all gone, and the Camaro has returned to it shining glory....theres one in my garage!!

i like camaros but i bought the 5th gen bc i wanted a LS3. on another note, i like hanging around the 4th gen crowd bc you have people that are non-ban waggoneers. hopefully someday we can convert the 4th gen guys to like the 5th gens, but by then the 6th gen will probably be out...

I've always liked muscle cars, but could never afford the insurance payment until now . Learned to drive a stick in my brother's '88 5.0 Mustang, which was a blast @ 16 years old. The first new car I bought was in 2003, and it was a 2004 Subaru WRX. Loved the car for the range of application and AWD, but missed what my brother's Mustang had to offer.

I had to trade my WRX in for a practical family sedan back in August. By November I was itching for power under my foot again and turned my eye to the 2011 WRX STi. As I researched them and looked at pricing I realized it wasn't what I wanted... I wasn't the 20 year old kid I was in 2003.

Anyhow, long story, short... I ended up ordering the Camaro as it brought a new face to the available muscle cars on the road (I don't like the new Mustangs), which blows the competition out of the water (IMO).

Look forward to laying down some rubber here in the next month or two, and being a die hard Camaro fan for the rest of my natural life!

I am car enthusiast, nothing more or less. I used to be GM centric in my preferences, but after some sour experiences...not so much. If its a beautiful car...I will give it my attention.

I loved camaros since day one! But have been a chevy/gm guy most of my life.never really was a fan of mopar/ford but ive been looking at the concept camaro since 07, 5th gen camaro to me is one of the most beautiful cars that was built in the last decade. Also the fact that gm finally made a 4 seater corvette was just a dream come true on it's own.
But yes I'm one who has been excited since motor trend put that first yellow 5th gen on the cover.

This is my first chevy! I love the look of the 5th gen have ever since the first tome I laid eyes on it. I love it mostly because it reminds me of the older camaros. I have two boys that sit in the back seat and even though it's a pain to put the little one in his car seat I will suffer through when they are older hopefully I can upgrade to an 2ss someday. I am a Camaro gal and always will be.

I have owned may cars foreign and domestic. Been a GM fan since my 2001 Malibu with the GTP motor swap. Still have it as my daily driver. But no car has caught my attention like this Camaro. Ever since I seen it on the big screen I wanted one! Even tho I have the V6 it's potential is really where you want it to stop at. It's not as rare anymore to see on the streets. Even tho I'm the only one that has one in my community of 275 homes (still rare here). But it's still a head turner and I won't trade it unless it's for a SS or a 6th Gen!

Personally I really dont like mustangs they dont look good besides the grill/front ends and IMO look like a Grand AM or Cavalier souped up. With that said who really cares I mean this is like saying you changed your favorite beer or buy a different brand of tool. Free country and whatever is clever.

Also face it the Camaro is no longer the fastest bestest pony car Mustang now trumps it. Just like when the Camaro came out how many old mustang owners did you see on here who bought camaros. Its just like anything guys something new and better comes out people buy it. I do hope Chevy has plans for a power plant upgrade soon because the SRT8 from I here has rumors of some new engine which Im assuming will be faster than the camaro
