ZL1 Gauges

Personally i love the new ZL1 gauges. The thin red needle, the change of scale and the simplicity to read at a glance. But what about the 4-gauge cluster?

Does anyone else think that it would be a good idea for the to relocate them?

My idea would be to line the 4 rectangle gauges side-by-side across the trim piece in the dash, starting as far to the left as possible. If someone feels like photo shopping this go ahead, i'm at work and don't have access to ps right now. I have seen this kind of setup on older cars from the factory and think it would definitely be a good change for the ZL1 from a track perspective.

Leave your thoughts and opinions.

.

I like 'em where they are as a nod to the past.

It's not like you can't see them, you just have to be able to glance down.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if the boost value can be sent to the HUD as well, so you could see it without looking. That's only a wild guess on my part.

Exactly, that's the whole point.

If you're worried more about function, especially in regards to the boost gauge, GM has already stated that it will also be integrated into the HUD.

That info is especially for the smug douchebag that knocked the location of the boost gauge during one of the reviews at the Chicago auto show.

Same engine in the Corvette ZR1, I thinks somebody needs to recheck their facts.

I had seen that before. When he said, "That's a Camaro for Ya" it chapped my hide a bit.

Note how his hand is over his gut.

Perhaps he makes even himself sick. .

I think you can see the boost level in the ZR1's HUD, so I imagine GM would do the same thing for the ZL1

I don't like that man. I was really hoping someone would just pop out and correct him about the boost gauge mid video.
